Lürssen superyacht Boardwalk departs for sea trials

The 117-metre Lürssen superyacht Boardwalk has left the shipyard in Lemwerder, Germany, for sea trials in the North Sea. Spotted departing early on 3 March, the yacht follows its launch in December and is set for delivery in the second quarter of 2026.

The superyacht Boardwalk, previously known as Project 13797, was observed leaving Lürssen's facilities in Lemwerder, Germany, in the early hours of 3 March. This departure marks the beginning of sea trials in the North Sea, following the yacht's launch in December.

Commissioned in 2022 by an American owner, Boardwalk represents a collaboration of European craftsmanship and American design. The owner was deeply involved in the design process, contributing to the general arrangement, onboard flow, interior, and exterior styling, according to the yard. Its classical lines and timeless interior were created by designers Frank Woll and Amy Halffman.

Intended as a family retreat, the yacht features expansive decks with various entertainment areas, two helipads—one certified and located forward on the guest deck—a sizeable beach club, a large pool, and an adjoining spa pool on the aft deck. Inside, it includes a putting green and a spacious gym, as stated by the yard.

Details about the build remain limited, but Boardwalk is believed to be constructed from steel and aluminium, with a gross tonnage of 5,350 GT. The name indicates it is the successor to a 76.5-metre Feadship yacht also named Boardwalk, now called Boardwalk V, which entered the market in September. The same owner previously owned a Westport 164 yacht named Boardwalk, now known as Night Howl.

Upon delivery in Q2 2026, Boardwalk will rank as the 20th largest yacht by length built by Lürssen, exceeding the Ahpo by 1.9 metres. This development follows recent sea trials of Lürssen's 109-metre project O3.

Sirena Yachts, marking its 20th anniversary, will premiere the Sirena 118 and Sirena Superyachts 42m in late summer 2026. The 36-metre composite Sirena 118 has been sold to a repeat client, while the 42.2-metre steel-aluminium model remains available for purchase.
