New one-stop service center launched in Addis Ababa's Medinawa

Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie stated that foundational developments in Medinawa play a key role in the city's modernity. The 14th one-stop service center was launched in Qirqos sub-city, featuring services from 20 institutions and 112 services.

Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie said foundational developments in Medinawa are playing a significant role in the city's push toward modernity. She made the remarks during the launch of a new one-stop service center in the Qirqos sub-city.

This marks the 14th such center, operated by 20 institutions and offering 112 services. Of the 600 services provided by the city administration, 240 are now delivered digitally, according to Adanech.

The services prioritize enabling online access to reduce public complaints, she noted. Efforts are underway to integrate the remaining services into one-stop centers by the next budget year.

Surveys at the centers show a 98 percent satisfaction rate, which officials say supports further expansion. The integrated and networked system allows residents to access services from any center.

The initiative boosts efficiency, working toward a situation where all services can be obtained via mobile phone from home.
