Amanda Carlsson and Magnus Ravald repaired the 1947 organ at Uppsala Musikklasser during breaks and free periods.
The students had been bothered for five years that the instrument could not be used without making strange noises. They started the work in ninth grade and sought help from organ experts to finish the repairs.
The organ was built in two stages beginning in 1946 and was completed in 1947. Rector Johan Emilas said the school provided no sponsorship and that the students drove the project themselves.
Both students have now left the school. They advise using the organ so that more people will care for it.
