Police have decided to use drones for camera surveillance in central Borlänge during the football match between Brage and Norrköping on 16 May.
The decision applies on Saturday 16 May between 12:00 and 22:00. The purpose is to prevent criminal activity, maintain public order and safety, and investigate any crimes.
The drones will fly over areas including Borlänge Energi Arena and Domnarvsvallen. Police state that the surveillance takes place in public places and that individuals cannot be identified from high altitudes.
The footage may be used in investigations and as evidence in court. Police emphasise that the decision complies with applicable rules for camera surveillance.
