In a follow-up to the December 11, 2025, incident where an MBG food delivery minibus struck students during assembly at SDN Kalibaru 01 due to a substitute driver mistakenly pressing the gas pedal on a slope, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka expressed apologies via the Vice Presidential Secretariat: "On behalf of the government, I offer my deepest apologies and regret this incident. It must not happen again."
He directed a comprehensive investigation, law enforcement action, and review of procedures, including stricter substitute driver selection. President Prabowo Subianto is closely monitoring, with BGN Head Dadan Hindayana under Cabinet Secretary oversight. BGN covers all medical costs; of 23 victims, 11 discharged, four at RS Cilincing, seven at RSUD Koja (two in ICU).
