Gondar family strengthens bonds across Ethiopian ethnic groups

The family founded by Blata Asayehgn Weldegiorgis gathered in Gondar on Hamle 12, 2018, to strengthen bonds among its members from various ethnic groups.

The family founded by Blata Asayehgn Weldegiorgis has reached beyond the eighth generation. It has more than one thousand members. Its members live scattered across the world.

The gathering held at the former Blata Asayehgn compound brought together members who had been apart. Ato Sisay Asmare Zerihun, a third-generation descendant of Ato Asayehgn, said the family love through marriage extended to others.

Young Abiy Betru noted that family members live in love and mutual respect. The family plans to launch major projects in the future.
