Federal Judge María Servini ordered the judicial intervention of the Justicialist Party in Salta. She removed the intervenors appointed by the national leadership and named José Luis Napoleón Gambetta in their place.
The magistrate issued the ruling in the last hours of Friday. She removed Pablo Kosiner and Nora Canunni, who had replaced earlier intervenors appointed by the national Peronist leadership. In their place she named José Luis Napoleón Gambetta.
The decision came days before the PJ National Congress scheduled for May 19. That meeting was to ratify the normalization timeline that includes internal elections in Salta and Jujuy on October 25.
Governor Gustavo Sáenz gained support in his dispute with Cristina Kirchner over control of provincial structures. Kosiner rejected the ruling and said it violates party autonomy and disregards sovereign decisions by internal organs.
