Annette Jonsson discovered on Midsummer Eve that tractor tracks had destroyed her parents' grave at Selångers Cemetery. She has filed a police report and demands repairs.
The incident occurred after a burial the day before at Selångers Cemetery in Sundsvall Municipality. Church staff had driven the tractor over seven graves to reach the site with machinery.
Annette Jonsson described it as a shock and called it a violation of grave peace. She said staff could have stayed in the middle of the area instead.
Vicar Lovisa Schmidt regrets the event but states that using machines is an established method on the cemetery. Annette Jonsson has demanded that the ground be restored.
