Irish author Sally Rooney will release a Hebrew edition of her novel Intermezzo through November Books, a publisher that complies with the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.
Rooney previously had her first two novels translated into Hebrew by Modan, an Israeli publisher. She declined further collaborations after learning of the company's ties to the Israeli military. November Books now handles the translation of Intermezzo to meet BDS conditions. Rooney's books have appeared in more than 40 languages to date.
