サリー・ルーニー、新作『Intermezzo』のヘブライ語翻訳版でBDS準拠の出版社を選定

アイルランドの作家サリー・ルーニーは、パレスチナ主導のボイコット・投資引き揚げ・制裁(BDS)運動に準拠する出版社「November Books」から、自身の小説『Intermezzo』のヘブライ語版を出版する。

ルーニーは以前、自身の最初の2つの小説をイスラエルの出版社であるModanからヘブライ語で出版していた。しかし、同社とイスラエル軍との関係を知ったことを受け、以後の協力を拒否していた。今回、『Intermezzo』の翻訳については、BDS運動の条件を満たすNovember Booksが担当することになった。なお、ルーニーの著作はこれまでに40以上の言語に翻訳されている。
