This protocol requires immediate action upon suspicion of bullying, ensuring victim protection and disciplinary measures against perpetrators, without unnecessary delays. However, inspectors from the Department of Educational Development, led by counselor Carmen Castillo, determined the school systematically ignored it. Consequently, an administrative file will be opened, and the case referred to the Seville Prosecutor's Office, while the National Police investigate.
Andalusia's acting Ombudsman, Jesús Maeztu, has announced an ex officio investigation to clarify why the protocol 'did not work' despite repeated complaints. Maeztu contacted his national counterpart, Ángel Gabilondo, and will request information from the school director and the Department.
