Topps releases first Audi Formula 1 trading cards

Topps has launched the inaugural set of Audi Formula 1 trading cards, marking the German manufacturer's entry into the sport ahead of the 2026 season. The collection features team cards from a Berlin launch event and signed driver cards of Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto. Available now on the Topps website, the cards range in price from £11.99 for a single pack to £165.99 for a 20-pack.

Topps, the official licensee for Formula 1 trading cards and sticker collections since 2020, has introduced its first-ever Audi-themed set following the brand's acquisition of the Sauber team. This move positions Audi as a full works team on the F1 grid starting in 2026, after the conclusion of the 2025 season.

The trading cards highlight key elements of Audi's F1 project, including various team cards commemorating the launch event held in Berlin. A standout item is the signed driver card featuring Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto, who are set to represent the team. These collectibles cater to fans eager for memorabilia from Audi's upcoming era in the sport.

Emily Prazer, Formula 1's chief commercial officer, emphasized the value of such partnerships in a 2024 statement: “Since 2020, Topps has created new ways for our fans to engage in our sport through their trading cards and stickers, as well as creating mementos of some of Formula 1’s most iconic and historic moments. As we continue to attract new and diverse audiences to F1, having creative partners like Topps is hugely important to us so I am delighted to continue our partnership.”

Audi's team principal, Jonathan Wheatley, spoke at the Berlin launch about the strategic importance of entering as a works outfit. “Hugely,” he said when asked about its significance. “McLaren, unfortunately, has proven us all wrong, but my opinion has always been that when you see a full works engine installation, when you see a car powertrain that has been designed to go together from the very beginning, it's a very different-looking car. Do you know what the biggest difference is between the R26 and last year's car? It looks like it's a Formula 1 car from front to back and it's been designed with one purpose.”

This release underscores growing commercial interest in Audi's F1 involvement, blending fan engagement with the team's technical ambitions for 2026.
