Bogotá mayor's office and RegioTram have not signed bridge agreement

The Bogotá mayor's office and RegioTram remain at odds over five vehicular and four pedestrian bridges for the northern rail project, though willingness for an agreement persists.

Differences center on the bridges not being included in project structuring despite 123 prior technical tables with Bogotá. Cundinamarca Governor Jorge Emilio Rey explained that the real estate project should have provided them through urban charges.

Both the mayor's office and the governorship clarified that no agreement has been reached. One proposed alternative is a separate convenio between the city and the department to complete the missing infrastructure.

The project was excluded from CONPES 4190 financing 17.36 trillion pesos, with 81.6 percent from the Nation and 18.4 percent from Cundinamarca. Delivery of the RegioTram de Occidente was advanced to the second half of 2027.
