Chavo Guerrero open to WWE return and Rey Mysterio match

Former WWE star Chavo Guerrero expressed openness to a potential return to the ring in WWE or AAA during a recent interview.

Guerrero, who last appeared in WWE in 2011, continues to compete on the independent circuit. He recently wrestled in TNA in his hometown of El Paso.

Speaking on the podcast Gabby AF, he said Guerreros never truly retire. "Guerreros never retire. We never really stop wrestling. We always keep it going. It's just who we are. It's just in our DNA," Guerrero stated.

He added that a return could happen with just a phone call. When asked about facing Rey Mysterio in a potential retirement match, Guerrero said the two know each other so well that minimal preparation would be needed. "Rey and I, I know Rey so well. He knows me so well. Right now, tomorrow — give me five days to get into cardio shape, and we'd tear the place down," he said.

Guerrero currently works behind the scenes with AAA, a WWE sister promotion.
