Duran Duran refuse Glastonbury gig without headliner slot

Duran Duran have stated they will not perform at Glastonbury unless offered a headline spot on the Pyramid Stage. Frontman Simon Le Bon explained the band's position in a recent interview.

The new wave synthpop band, who have sold over 100 million records and won Grammy and Brit Awards, have never appeared at the Worthy Farm festival. Le Bon said they were previously offered a slot in a disco tent at 3pm but want the right time instead. He added that the group should not be below anybody on the bill and will hold out as a headline act.
