Jon Moxley accepts Bandido challenge for AEW Continental title

AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley has accepted a title match challenge from ROH World Champion Bandido for the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view.

The match was made official during a backstage segment on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday. Bandido issued the challenge after he and Brody King, as Brodido, defeated Moxley and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders in a tag team match earlier in the night.

Moxley reminded Bandido that the Continental Championship rules would bar King and the Death Riders from ringside. He encouraged Bandido to "shoot his shot," and the challenger accepted with visible excitement as the segment concluded.

The bout joins two other announced title matches on the Forbidden Door card. AEW Women's World Champion Thekla is scheduled to face Starlight Kid, while AEW World Tag Team Champions Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will defend against Clark Connors and David Finlay of The Dogs.
