L'imprenditrice Patricia Armendáriz ha criticato su LinkedIn la possibile vendita di La Casa de Toño per oltre 400 milioni di dollari, cifra che considera una grossolana sottovalutazione dell'attività.

Secondo le informazioni di Bloomberg, La Casa de Toño sta valutando la vendita per espandersi negli Stati Uniti e in America Latina. La catena ha ingaggiato BBVA México come consulente finanziario e tra i potenziali acquirenti figura Grupo Gigante.

Armendáriz ha affermato che la cifra equivale a otto volte gli utili rettificati e che il valore reale potrebbe essere il doppio o il triplo. Ha sottolineato l'efficienza operativa della catena, la fedeltà dei clienti e i margini di redditività.

La Casa de Toño gestisce 81 ristoranti a Città del Messico e nell'area metropolitana dalla sua fondazione nel 1985 da parte di Antonio Campos. Finora non è stato confermato alcun accordo.
