Smart Fit reaches 2,000 locations and plans over 340 openings in 2026

Smart Fit opened its 2,000th location in São Paulo, Brazil, on December 30, solidifying its leadership in the fitness sector across Latin America. The company, operating in 16 countries, plans to open over 340 new units this year. In Colombia, it has 224 locations.

Smart Fit, Latin America's leading gym chain, marked a significant milestone by opening its 2,000th location on December 30 in São Paulo, Brazil. This expansion underscores the company's rapid growth, operating in 16 countries and establishing itself as a key player in promoting physical activity.

Diogo Corona, COO of Grupo Smart Fit, emphasized the achievement: “Reaching 2,000 locations demonstrates the strength of our model and the consistency of our operations and execution. Above all, it reinforces that we are on the right path to transform people's relationship with physical activity in different cultures and contexts.”

Among the countries with the largest presence in the region, besides Brazil, are Mexico, Colombia with 224 locations, Peru, and Chile. Beyond Latin America, the company expanded in 2025 by opening its first unit in Morocco, entering the African continent.

For 2026, Smart Fit plans an ambitious expansion with over 340 new units, bolstering its accessible and scalable business model. Corona added: “We will continue expanding our presence in different countries, always committed to bringing the Smart Fit standard further.”

This growth highlights the rising demand for affordable fitness options and the company's adaptation to diverse cultural markets.
