Thysiastery RPG announces March 2026 release date

Indie developer DIRGA has set a March 9, 2026, launch for its dungeon crawler RPG Thysiastery. The game features turn-based combat and roguelike elements in a retro-inspired style. A free demo is already available for players to try.

Indie developer and publisher DIRGA revealed the official release date for Thysiastery, a turn-based dungeon crawling roguelike RPG, on February 28, 2026. The game draws inspiration from classic 1980s and 1990s single-screen movement tiles but incorporates modernized mechanics and animations to refresh the pixelated aesthetic.

Thysiastery has been in development for several years, with a free demo recently made available. Rather than entering Early Access, the full version will launch on March 9, 2026. Players take on the role of bearers of the Brand, drawn into a vast and enigmatic Labyrinth. The objective is to command a party, recruit characters encountered during exploration, and uncover secrets to find a way out.

Key features include turn-based combat where choices allow players to exploit chances and weaknesses, or risk being exploited themselves. It incorporates classic roguelike mechanics such as permadeath, procedurally generated areas, and randomly generated characters for high replayability. Characters can learn a wide array of skills and teach them to others. Exploration involves diverse environments like buried forests and underwater cities, investigating mysterious objects and artifacts, and interacting with the Labyrinth's natives.

The game offers difficulty modifiers to adjust the challenge level and is rendered in a beautiful retro-inspired art style using limited color palettes. A trailer showcasing these elements has been released alongside the announcement.
