Tunisia seeks to strengthen trade ties with Ethiopia

Ethiopia's Foreign Minister Gedion Timothewos met with his Tunisian counterpart Mohamed Ali Nafti. During their discussions, they focused on trade and investment relations, with Tunisia expressing a desire to strengthen these ties. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the 48th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council.

On 4th Katit, 2018 (Fana Media Corporation), in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia's Foreign Minister Dr. Gedion Timothewos held talks with Tunisian Foreign Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti. Their discussions centered on trade and investment relations between the two countries, with Nafti affirming Tunisia's eagerness to enhance these connections.

The ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional shared interests. Similarly, Dr. Gedion Timothewos met with Burundian Foreign Minister Edward Bizimana to explore ways to further strengthen bilateral ties. During that discussion, they agreed to convene a Joint Ministerial Commission meeting in the near future to review existing cooperation agreements and identify new areas of collaboration.

These meetings took place on the margins of the 48th Ordinary Session of the African Union Executive Council. Such engagements are expected to bolster cooperation between the involved nations.
