Il tribunale statunitense per il commercio internazionale ha stabilito giovedì che i dazi temporanei del 10% imposti da Donald Trump a febbraio sono illegali.

Il tribunale ha rilevato che il governo non poteva avvalersi di una legge sul bilanciamento commerciale del 1974 per imporre le ampie sovrattasse. La decisione è stata presa con una maggioranza di due giudici contro uno.

Le tre aziende ricorrenti sono ora esenti dai dazi. Il governo degli Stati Uniti dovrà rimborsare gli importi riscossi negli ultimi due mesi, oltre agli interessi.
