Valborg tickets resold online at much higher prices

Personal tickets to Valborg celebrations at Uppsala's student nations are being resold on secondary markets for several thousand kronor more than the original 950 kronor price. Sara Engman, chair of the Kuratorskonventet, stated that the organizations view the practice seriously. Student Ellen Gamstorp described it as unfair.

Personal tickets for Valborg celebrations at Uppsala's student nations, including Södermanlands-Nerikes nation, are appearing on online secondary markets. The standard ticket price is 950 kronor, but they are now being sold for several thousand kronor.

Sara Engman, chair of the Kuratorskonventet, commented: "We view this seriously." She added: "The Valborg celebration is for students and by students."

Student Ellen Gamstorp expressed disappointment: "It feels a bit unfair."

Uppsala's student nations organize annual Valborg events that attract many students. The tickets are personal, which Engman says underscores that the celebration is intended for students.
