A 65-year-old woman identified as Manjula was arrested in Chikkaballapur after CCTV allegedly captured her performing a black magic ritual inside a courtroom. The incident occurred on the judge’s dais in a JMFC courtroom.

Police are investigating whether the act, which reportedly involved white mustard seeds, was meant to influence an ongoing civil case and if anyone else was involved.

The arrest falls under the Inhuman Evil Practices Act 2017, which addresses black magic and related practices in Karnataka.
