A large Danish study has found that widening diagnostic criteria explain much of the sharp increase in autism and ADHD diagnoses over recent decades. Researchers examined genetic data from 140,000 people and concluded there is no evidence of overdiagnosis.

An Arizona man who worked as a behavioral therapist was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after allegedly kicking a 5-year-old boy with nonverbal autism during a session.

In an update to the neglect case, Amanda Morgan waived her preliminary hearing in Mobile County court, sending charges of felony murder and aggravated child abuse to a grand jury. Her 14-year-old autistic son died from accidental strangulation in October 2025 while left home alone.
