Colapinto confronts Gasly over opening-lap move at British Grand Prix

Franco Colapinto argued with teammate Pierre Gasly over team radio after an incident on the first lap of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The Argentine finished ninth and scored points for Alpine.

The incident happened when Colapinto, who started from 19th, gained positions and Gasly closed on him during braking. The Argentine said over the radio: "What the hell is Pierre doing? He closed me" and later added: "It is unacceptable!".

Engineer Stuart Barlow asked him to focus and the driver climbed ten places to finish ninth. Gasly came tenth and Alpine scored three points overall.

Charles Leclerc won the race, followed by George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. Colapinto will race again on 12 July at Goodwood before the Belgian Grand Prix.
