In her second night at Estadio Nacional, Dua Lipa surprised the Chilean audience with a cover of 'El Duelo', the classic from La Ley's 1995 album Invisible. The song, composed by Andrés Bobe, Beto Cuevas, and Luciano Rojas, emerged from a context of grief following Bobe's death in 1994. Additionally, opener Princesa Alba gifted her a Colo Colo shirt backstage.
Dua Lipa held her two concerts at Estadio Nacional in Ñuñoa on November 11 and 12, 2025. On the first night, she performed Mon Laferte's 'Tu falta de querer', while on the second she chose La Ley's 'El Duelo', a 1990s Chilean rock anthem.
'El Duelo' originated in 1994, after the fatal accident of La Ley's leader Andrés Bobe at the intersection of Monseñor Edwards and José Ortega y Gasset in La Reina, Santiago. Bobe died in April that year, leaving song sketches that the band completed for their album Invisible, released in 1995. Beto Cuevas told La Tercera how he altered the lyrics: originally 'without love you can't be happy, without pain you don't suffer more', but changed to 'without pain you can't be happy, without love you don't suffer more' for a more existentialist approach. Luciano Rojas sped up the rhythm, and the music was worked on at Bobe's Puente Alto property.
The band released a demo on platforms, with arrangements that evolved in the studio, including a guitar solo by Pedro Frugone. Later, in the MTV Unplugged session, Ely Guerra collaborated, giving it 'a second life', according to Cuevas. The video, directed by Cristián Galaz, boosted its success as the lead single from Invisible.
Dua Lipa selected the song based on recommendations from Warner Music, DG Medios, and local teams, discarding options like Violeta Parra's 'Gracias a la vida', Mazapán's 'Una cuncuna amarilla', or 31 Minutos' 'Mi muñeca me habló'. Rehearsals leaked on social media, confirming the choice.
Princesa Alba, opener for both shows and a Colo Colo fan, gifted her a commemorative shirt for the club's 100 years, black with gold design and Dua Lipa's name on the back. 'Oh my gosh! Amazing!', the artist exclaimed, praising Alba's look, who admitted being 'so nervous' on Instagram.
