プレイヤー投票による 2025 Steam Awards はサプライズを連発し、Team Cherry の長らく待たれていたメトロイドヴァニア続編 Hollow Knight: Silksong が The Game Awards では勝てなかったものの、ゲーム・オブ・ザ・イヤーのトップ賞を獲得しました。また、その難易度の高いゲームプレイで Best Game You Suck At も受賞。

売上ハイライト：Silksong は Valve の年末レポートでプラチナティアに到達（20 ドルのトップ 12 セラー、Winter Sale で 16 ドルに割引）；Arc Raiders は 12 月 23 日～30 日のお正月期間の Steam トップセラーで、Battlefield 6 と Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 を上回りました。
注目ノンウィナーは Split Fiction、Battlefield 6、Where Winds Meet、Elden Ring: Nightreign、Blue Prince（Eurogamer の 2025 GOTY）。
