同グループは、配達中にエンジンをかけたまま車両から離れた配達員も標的にしていた。警察によれば、メンバーの役割分担は明確で、1人が見張り役、別の1人が配線を操作してエンジンを始動させ、3人目が盗んだバイクを人目につかない場所へ移動させて買い手に引き渡すという手口だった。
