Malmö FF defeated AIK 1–0 away in Solna on Monday evening. Erik Botheim scored the only goal, marking MFF's first win over AIK in nine years. Coach Miguel Angel Ramirez praised the team's collective defensive effort.
Malmö FF traveled to Solna on Monday evening and beat AIK 1–0 at Strawberry Arena. Erik Botheim scored the game's only goal, with the team holding firm under late pressure.
It marked MFF's second straight away win in Stockholm in quick succession. Just over a week earlier, they won 1–0 at Djurgården, with Sead Haksabanovic as the matchwinner. They bounced back immediately from a 2–3 home loss to Sirius.
"We are solid and tight in the first half. Then we suffer a lot, as AIK are very good and dangerous at home," Miguel Angel Ramirez said at the post-match press conference. He praised the collective defense, especially offensive players who dropped back. "It's never hard to sell a game plan if you win."
Anders Christiansen made a comeback as a substitute after injury but twisted his ankle. In TV4's broadcast, he reassured: "After three points in Stockholm, it's hard not to feel good. It's fine, no problem there."
The starting lineup featured Johan Dahlin (C), Jens Stryger, Andrej Djuric, Colin Rösler, Theodor Lundbergh, Taha Ali, Otto Rosengren, Janis Karabeljov, Adrian Skogmar, Sead Haksabanovic, and Erik Botheim.
