5月15日午前7時30分頃、大阪市大正区の波速橋の下に係留されたはしけ上で、53歳の横関真由美さんが発見された。彼女は裸足でパジャマ姿で、両脚に骨折があり首に変色が見られた。検死の結果、絞殺されたことが判明した。
警察は彼女が橋から40メートル下のはしけに落とされたとみている。60代の夫が行方不明となり、7月19日に波速橋近くの海で夫の遺体が発見された。情報は金曜日まで公表されなかった。
