Mineros announced the expansion of its share buyback program to US$175 million. The measure was approved at an extraordinary shareholders' meeting held in Medellín. The extended program will run until March 2029.
The decision was adopted unanimously at the shareholders' meeting following a proposal from shareholder Sun Valley Investments AG. The reserve for buybacks was increased from the company's available reserves. To date, US$19.8 million in shares had been acquired, leaving US$155.2 million available under the expanded program.
The Toronto Stock Exchange accepted the notification for a repurchase offer under the Normal Course Issuer Bid mechanism. Between July 17, 2026, and July 16, 2027, up to 14.6 million shares will be repurchased, representing 5% of those issued.
Repurchases may be executed in the Colombian market through the Bolsa de Valores de Colombia or in the Canadian market via TSX systems. The company stated that the mechanism represents an appropriate use of liquidity to increase shareholder value.
