Comptroller warns of insufficient resources for gender perspective policies

Colombia's Comptroller General identified non-compliance in resource allocation for rural care policies with a gender perspective between 2016 and 2025.

The entity reviewed the Conpes 4143 Action Plan and found that the Ministry of Agriculture reported $11.719 million without a clear breakdown for rural care activities.

Only 50% of agricultural sector institutions allocate a specific budget for the National Care Program. The Comptroller noted that this situation limits the impact of the measures.

The control entity asked the Rural Development Agency and the National Land Agency to allocate specific resources and warned of risks from budget adjustments and the possible disappearance of the Ministry of Equality.
