두산에너빌리티는 중국 SEPCO-3와 컨소시엄을 구성해 870메가와트 규모 발전소를 두쿰에 건설한다. 두쿰은 무스카트에서 남쪽으로 550킬로미터 떨어진 곳이다.
계약에 따라 두산에너빌리티는 증기터빈과 발전기를 공급한다. 발전소는 2029년까지 완공될 예정이며 두쿰 경제특구에 들어선다.
컨소시엄에는 한국서부발전, 카타르 네브라스파워, UAE 에티하드워터앤일렉트리시티, 오만 바흐완인프라스트럭처서비스가 참여한다. 이현호 플랜트 EPC사업부장은 "중동 사업 경험과 EPC 역량으로 수주했다"고 말했다.
