병무청은 8일 영어 챗봇 서비스 '아라'를 출시했다. 이 서비스는 한국어 소통에 어려움을 겪는 의무 복무 대상자에게 군 행정 정보를 제공한다.
아라 챗봇은 군 복무 검사, 징집, 동원 훈련 등 군 행정 관련 24시간 온라인 상담을 제공한다. 국내외 의무 복무 대상자가 영어로 정보에 접근할 수 있다.
홍소영 병무청장은 "시민들이 어디서든 군 복무 의무를 편리하게 이행할 수 있도록 디지털 군 행정 서비스를 확대하겠다"고 밝혔다.
이번 서비스는 다문화 배경을 가진 대상자들의 접근성을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.
