Prime Minister's security advisor Dr. Kenea Yadeta said Ethiopia's return to sea access will further strengthen comprehensive cooperation in the Horn of Africa.
Dr. Kenea Yadeta stated that Ethiopia's sea access ownership question is primarily a sovereignty issue with strong historical and legal foundations. The matter has become a national agenda as it concerns national interest and existence.
Ethiopia has been promoting the issue on various platforms based on fairness and give-and-take principles, the advisor said. Recognition of the question is growing on the international stage over time.
Ethiopia's peace contributes significantly to peace in neighboring countries, creating conditions for fundamental stabilization of political and social situations in the Horn of Africa and enabling regional prosperity, he added.
