Gauteng SAPS officer faces disciplinary action over alleged bribery

Gauteng South African Police Service states that the acceptance, solicitation or facilitation of a bribe constitutes a criminal offence and a serious violation of the SAPS Code of Conduct. “The Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Tommy Mthombeni, has strongly condemned the alleged conduct,” said Gauteng police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi. “The SAPS will not tolerate corruption in any form.”
