Indiana mother gets 40 days for infant neglect

A 35-year-old Indiana woman received a short prison term after being convicted of neglecting her four-month-old daughter, who died in 2024.

Kristina Gensheimer was sentenced on May 29 to 910 days in prison with most of the time credited or suspended. She will serve only 40 days for the Level 6 felony child neglect conviction from last month in Marion County court.
