John Herdman updates Indonesia national team squad ahead of AFF Cup 2026

Indonesia national team coach John Herdman confirmed the squad for the 2026 AFF Cup is not yet final following injuries to several players.

John Herdman stated the squad for the ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026 could still change. From 50 players at the training camp in Bali United Training Center, Gianyar, only 23 will be registered.

Mauro Zijlstra suffered a hamstring injury during training and is almost certain to miss out. Yakob Sayuri also left the camp early due to injury, while Luke Vickery failed to join because his club did not grant permission.

Herdman said the team will add one goalkeeper to meet tournament regulations. He praised the facilities at Bali United Training Center and called them world-class.

Indonesia will face Cambodia on 27 July 2026 in Group A alongside Vietnam, Singapore, and the playoff winner between Brunei or Timor Leste.
