Twenty-year-old forward Konsta Helenius is heading to Switzerland to join Finland's roster at the world championship. He replaces injured teammate Teuvo Teräväinen after Buffalo Sabres exited the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The young forward had been playing in the AHL this season, where he recorded 63 points in 63 games, and appeared in nine NHL regular-season games plus four playoff contests for the Sabres.
