Las Vegas woman pleads guilty in friend's shooting death

A 20-year-old Las Vegas woman has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and kidnapping after admitting she shot a male friend during a gun photoshoot.

Allysandra Blea entered the plea Tuesday in connection with the August 2025 death of 23-year-old Mark Gaughan. Court records show she told a witness she felt disgusted after learning Gaughan referred to her as his girlfriend. The shooting occurred around 4:47 a.m. on August 23 in the 1000 block of Nassau Drive. Gaughan was taking Polaroid photos of Blea, who was posing with a firearm while wearing a Halloween costume. Blea initially told a 911 dispatcher the shooting was accidental. Blea had faced a murder charge before accepting the plea deal. Prosecutors noted her fascination with firearms and online posts showing her posing with guns. She is scheduled to be sentenced on July 29.
