Dalarna Science Park has been granted 24.6 million kronor to launch an AI hub to support companies and organizations.
The government aims for Sweden to become one of the world's ten leading AI nations. The funding comes from the European Regional Development Fund, Region Dalarna, Högskolan Dalarna and private funds.
Dalarna Science Park leads the project together with several partners, including Högskolan Dalarna, Ecodatacenter, Atea, Consid, Sogeti, Nordlo, Fortum, Falu Energi och Vatten, Borlänge Energi and Nordion Energi.
"Dalarna should be the place where AI becomes reality", says Angelica Ekholm, CEO of Dalarna Science Park. Jörgen Elbe, rector at Högskolan Dalarna, highlights the region's unique conditions through the combination of energy, digital infrastructure, industry and academia.
