New Army chief and senior officers take charge in major military leadership changes

General Dhiraj Seth assumed the role of Chief of Army Staff on July 1. Several other top appointments were made in the Indian Army and Air Force the same day.

Air Marshal P V Shivanand assumed charge as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Air Command.
