6월 18일 밤, 사이타마현 경찰이 카조시 국도 125호선에 설치한 이동식 레이더 과속 단속 카메라가 도난당하는 사건이 발생했다.
사건은 오후 10시 50분부터 오후 11시 24분 사이에 발생했다. 당시 경찰관 2명이 삼각대에 장비를 설치한 뒤 약 100미터 떨어진 곳에서 단속 업무를 수행하고 있었다.
