Tennessee man arrested after McDonald's drive-thru incident

A 22-year-old Tennessee man was arrested after allegedly trying to run over the mother of his child in a McDonald's drive-thru lane in Memphis. Shai Wise faces multiple charges including aggravated assault and reckless driving. The incident occurred earlier this week.

Shai Wise, 22, stands accused of two counts of aggravated assault, one count of domestic assault and one count of reckless driving, according to the Memphis Police Department.

The incident took place at the McDonald's on Winchester Road in the Hickory Hill neighborhood. Police said Wise tried to strike the woman twice while she held their 1-year-old child after she exited their vehicle in the drive-thru.

Wise allegedly drove erratically through the parking lot before leading officers on a high-speed chase. He was stopped after turning east off Ridgeway Road, at which point police discovered an 11-year-old child remained in the car.

Wise was arrested on Wednesday and released on Thursday after posting a $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17.
