The Vaccines debut new song at Mad Cool Festival

The Vaccines performed their new song 'Ten Years Too Far' for the first time during the opening night of Mad Cool Festival in Madrid on July 8.

The band took the stage at the Iberdrola Music Villaverde site alongside headliners Foo Fighters and Wolf Alice. Frontman Justin Young delivered the track's chorus, singing lines about longing and change that echoed the energetic style of the group's 2011 debut album.

The Vaccines also played several songs from that record, which marks its 15th anniversary this year, including 'Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)' and 'Post Break-Up Sex'. Young thanked fans for supporting the band over the years and expressed hope that their music has become part of listeners' lives.

Foo Fighters closed the night with a set drawn from their extensive catalog. Dave Grohl told the crowd at the end, 'Thank you very much for the last 31 years. You've made our lives very beautiful.'

The festival continues through July 11 with additional acts including Pulp and Florence & The Machine.
