Bris: Barn er mer sårbare i sommerferien

Bris advarer om at barns sårbarhet øker i løpet av den ti uker lange sommerferien. Organisasjonen oppfordrer voksne til å være ekstra oppmerksomme og våge å stille spørsmål.

De fleste barn og unge har for tiden lang sommerferie. Hyggelig for mange, men også en tid da henvendelsene til Bris øker.

Bris understreker at voksne har et stort ansvar. Dersom man mistenker at et barn i ens omgivelser er rammet av psykisk uhelse eller utsettes for familiekonflikter som vold i hjemmet, er det viktig å vise omsorg, ha tålmodighet og handle.

– Det viktigste er å være til stede i barnas liv, og fremfor alt å våge å spørre, sier Jennifer Pettersson, rådgiver hos Bris.

– Det er bedre å spørre én gang for mye enn én gang for lite, legger hun til.
