Central Kenya to experience rains and unusual cold for five days

The Kenya Meteorological Service has forecast rain and unusually low temperatures in several regions from July 4 to July 8.

According to the forecast, rain will fall in the afternoon across parts of the Rift Valley, Nyanza, Western, Central and Coastal regions. Affected counties include Bungoma, Kakamega, Nakuru and Kisumu.

In the Central region, covering Nairobi, Kiambu and Nyeri, showers will be less widespread but are expected from Saturday through Wednesday. Night temperatures could drop to 6°C in Central areas.

North Eastern and Coastal counties will also see rain later in the period. South Eastern counties will remain largely dry.
