A deputy U.S. Marshal was shot and killed Monday while serving an arrest warrant on a fugitive in Alexandria, Louisiana. The suspect was injured during a three-hour standoff but is now in custody and receiving hospital treatment.

FBI Director Kash Patel said late Monday that the bureau is offering full resources to the agencies involved. He asked the public to pray for the deputy's family and friends.
