Sandfall founder says studio unconcerned if next game flops

Guillaume Broche, director and founder of Sandfall Interactive, stated that the studio is prepared for any reception of its upcoming second game. The comments came during an interview on the Konbini YouTube channel.

Broche said, "Maybe people won't like it. That's life." He added that the team "didn't make the first game to please anyone, and I think that's why it worked."

The remarks follow the success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which won three BAFTAs and a DICE Game of the Year award. The title has sold over 6 million copies and received recognition from the French president.

Earlier comments from studio leaders in January echoed a similar focus on creative instincts over broad appeal. Broche's latest statements were published on July 3.
