Addis Ababa administration starts budget year performance review

The Addis Ababa city administration has begun reviewing its performance for the 2018 budget year. Mayor Adanech Abiebe announced that goals set during the year will be assessed over three days.

The completed budget year marks the end of a five-year strategic plan. Officials will assess this year's results alongside performance from the prior five years.

The mayor noted several achievements, including turning the city into a hub for development and peace. People-centered work has advanced social justice, cleanliness, greenery and beauty.

Challenges such as leadership effectiveness gaps, rising living costs and migration issues will receive close attention during the forum. Future priorities will also be discussed.
